Mary Victoria Hollingsworth, a cherished resident of Valley Lodge Care Home celebrated the remarkable milestone of turning 100 years old with a royal tea party organised by the Valley Lodge team and Mary’s family.
Mary received 162 cards from family, friends, children & the general public. This definitely helped to make the celebration extra special!
Expressing her astonishment at reaching the century mark, Mary humbly shared, “Who would have thought I would reach 100 years old! Birthday’s aren’t quite the same as when I was younger but I still looked forward to this one.” Her positive outlook and gratitude for life serve as an inspiration to all.
Mary attributes her long life to her experiences growing up during the war. These challenging times have instilled in her the strength and fortitude needed to lead a long and fulfilling life. Reflecting upon her journey, Mary encourages younger generations to make the most of what they have.
