Life at Heanor Park

Heanor Park is a purpose built home with all the added extras expected with a modern home, residents enjoy  modern spacious rooms, walk in en-suite wet rooms, personalised care plans, minibus outings, private gardens, relaxing lounges, spa, salon, cinema, library, family room, tuck-shop and plenty more.

Our purpose built home is situated right in the heart of the community on the edge of Heanor Memorial Park and has fantastic views of the woodland park and a large secluded and secure garden to the rear of the property.

This home is rated ‘outstanding in caring’ by CQC providing both residential and residential dementia care. Whether you require a short-term or long-term stay, we can accommodate you. Additionally, should you need to extend your respite stay, we are happy to provide that option as we recognise that determining the length of your stay can sometimes be challenging.

Resident wellbeing is our absolute focus, we work hard to ease every resident into their new environment recognising that for many people moving into a care home can be a daunting transition. We want to reassure you that many people move in and discover a newfound sense of freedom and comfort with the 24 hour staff and top quality facilities.  

The building is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to create an environment that promotes a high quality of life. Our specialist equipment includes advanced circadian lighting, acoustic monitoring, nurse call system, D/deaf technology adjustments and advanced sprinkler system allowing for extra wide walkways through-out the home.

With a dedicated activities team on-site everyday there is lots of ways to find enjoyment, we carefully plan activities to make sure that they are person centred and meaningful for the individuals residing within the home.

Our Households

Bailey Brook

Bailey Brook is our most intimate residential community, with just 10 residents, this cozy setting allows for close relationships to flourish among its members. Many of the rooms in this household offer a personal patio space, ideal for gardening enthusiasts.

Coppice

This specialised household has been carefully designed to provide comprehensive support for residents living with dementia. Our dedicated team have had extensive training in dementia care to ensure that residents’ needs are fully and compassionately met.

Ormonde

This is our largest household, providing residential care for up to 16 residents, this household benefits a spacious lounge and a cinema room. This environment is perfect for people wanting to socialise and build lasting friendships.

Woodside

This 12-bed household strikes the ideal balance, offering personalised residential care in a setting that is more spacious than our Bailey Brook household yet more intimate than Ormonde. Residents here can enjoy the convenience of multiple lounge areas and a charming ‘tuck shop’ thoughtfully designed to provide them with special treats.

Devonshire

Devonshire is a specialist household within Heanor Park Care Home which provides residential care for up to five older D/deaf adults with additional care needs. We are proud to promote a strong D/deaf community within our home. All staff on this floor are native BSL users.

Here at Ashmere, we understand the significance of providing nutritious meals. We believe that everyone, especially the elderly, deserves access to quality nutrition.
